Smoky Valley Vikings hosted the Concordia Panthers for a basketball double header Friday with limited amount of fans allowed inside due to Covid-19 restrictions. The girls improved their record to a perfect 3-0 with a 56-27 win while the boys fell in the nightcap 45-33.
Senior Ellie Brumbaugh had a game high 16 points for the Lady Vikes while teammate Adrian Hazelwood chipped in 13.
Smoky Valley senior Ryan Heline sparked the boys to a first half lead over the Panthers and ended the night with a team high 12 points. Jake Lucas added 8 points in the loss that drops the Vikings’ record to 0-2.
Vikings are on the road Tuesday, December 15, to take on the Swathers in Hesston.
