The Blacksmith Coffee Shop and Roastery has become the starting line for car enthusiasts to gather and gab on Saturdays in Lindsborg. Shiny chrome and rust live side by side as owners and onlookers swap stories about what’s under the hood and what’s going on in their neighborhoods.
James and Amy Roraback of Lindsborg thought the mix of classic cars, robust coffee and conversation was the perfect way to start their weekends and promoted the idea through social media. Now some three years later the mix is still going strong for friendships, fenders and forged coffees.
Cars and Coffee has no memberships or fees; the group invites everyone down on Saturday mornings from 8-10am to the Blacksmith Coffee Shop, 122 North Main Street in Lindsborg. The coffee shop is open 6:30am to 6pm, Monday through Saturday.
According to the group, it doesn’t matter the year, make or model of the car, only that you like it. Your wheels don’t have to be in running order or in attendance. You can meet other car enthusiasts from the area and enjoy the morning.
Blacksmith Coffee’s Salina location is a drive-thru at 2029 S Ohio Street. It features the same drink menu and also offers several fresh-baked breakfast options, open Monday-Friday 6am-1pm and Saturday 8am-4pm.
