Angels in the wheat field: A harvest crew from North Dakota is in Lindsborg this week to cut about 300 acres of Danny Brunsell’s wheat. Brunsell’s health issues became an obstacle to a successful harvest this year, so he turned to the group based in Horace, ND for help. Farm Rescue is a nonprofit organization, powered by volunteers to help family farms survive a crisis.
Volunteer David Frueh is a retired farmer who has been with Farm Rescue since 2018 and says he enjoys lending a hand to families. “I think our mission in life is to serve others,” he said.
“What better way to do that, than when someone is in need? We see a crisis and we try to help.”
Farm Rescue gives families a chance to continue their livelihood by providing the necessary equipment and manpower (free of charge) to get the job done. Learn more online at https://farmrescue.org.
