Another sweet summer in the Smoky Valley has swimmers enjoying the Lindsborg Municipal Swimming Pool (Simbassäng) again, where all ages can gather for a cool time in the water.
Pool Manager Baylee Kampfe grew up in Lindsborg and now enjoys the chance to give back to her community by overseeing the lifeguards and helping youngsters learn to swim. “My favorite part about managing the pool here is all the high school students that I work with are very committed to being here,” she said. “They are a great group of kids.”
Kampfe’s crew of lifeguards not only watches over those in the water, but helps provide swimming lessons during the mornings for ages 5 and up. The pool is a also a great resource for exercise and provides water aerobics classes and private parties by appointment.
Thor’s Revenge water slide calls out to the adventurous at heart who wish to ride down the slippery 153-foot long water slide into the pool below. Parents and youngsters can play together all afternoon at the kiddie pool with its gentle zero depth entry and nearby water spouts that bubble and burst up for sprinkling surprises that keep little ones guessing and giggling.
