Bright bubbles and swimming Swedish Fish are now part of a warm welcome at the Lindsborg Municipal Pool.
Area artist Jenny Davis wanted to create a mural that the community could contribute to and enjoy for years to come. “Coming up with a theme, I stuck with something simple and graphic with the bubbles and colors of the water,” she said. “And then I wanted to go with something that’s Lindsborg with a Swedish theme so I thought, ‘Swedish Fish, that would be cool!’”
“It’s kid friendly and today I just wanted to get some community participation by adding handprints so that when the kids come over to swim, they can kind of look at that and think they had a part of that and would be proud of it.”
The Lindsborg Mural Committee commissioned Davis for this project with grant money from the David J. Nutt memorial fund.
